Suseela Gorter (1973), a graphic designer with a great love for
photography, graduated in 1997 from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten
Arnhem (Academy for the Arts Arnhem) in The Netherlands.
The idea for Flat Flowers was born out of the lack of windowsills
in Suseela’s house. Since she missed the comfort of a couple
of beautiful bouquets of flowers, the idea came to mind to design
window stickers of pictures of flower vases. Now, Flat Flowers
are a hit in- and outside The Netherlands.
Suseela really loves flowers, as her design studio in the east
of The Netherlands shows. ‘Impressive’ is an understatement
when you enter: anywhere you look, you will see pictures of flowers
and you almost stumble over the large number of funny, colorful
vases.
Suseela also designs photographic prints for products such as
ceramics, and very large, wall-covering photo prints for corporate
interiors. Her work is cheerful and colorful. “I love to
create products that will put a smile on your face.”
